1. Your child receives their "code" at school. It is only entered ONCE for each book club group they are in. You do not need a code to log in at home.
2. Your child has a username and password already.
3. To log in, go to www.edmodo.com Edmodo Homepage
To log in, go to the upper right (green login button) and your child will type in their username and password.
4. There is a parent code available once your child logs in that you can use to see their work. Otherwise, you can just see it from their profile.
5. Your child should have enough time to complete their work in class; however, if they were absent, they can work on it at home.
6. Your child knows Edmodo pretty well. For some that have been with me before, this is their second year using it. Please ask them questions - chances are, they know the answer! :o)
Submitting Assignments:
1. Your child must click on 'Turn In' in order for their work to be in the right spot. If they just 'reply' to the assignment, it won't show up as being turned in.
2. If your child clicks 'turn in' and starts their response, but runs out of time and can't complete it just then, have them submit it anyway (Edmodo won't save it for later).
Then, when they have time to complete it at a later time, have them click 'turn in' again and below add a comment, just continuing where they left off. (We've done this in class, most students complete it over a period of days and have used this method).
*** We started typing our answers on a Google document and now just copy/paste our answers in. This keeps us from losing work or dealing with other complications. Your child created a document called Edmodo 2016-2017 where they are typing their answers.
Checking grades:
There are two ways to check your grade: (1) click the bell at the top and it will say there's a new grade (2) scroll to the assignment and it will say 'graded' then just click on it.
*If your child receives a (1) I will respond on there why. Often, if they receive a two, I will make a note of what needs to be improved as well.
